# Plans and billing

Building bots, landing pages and widgets is free. You pay when what you have built starts working with people — that is what the Pro subscription is for. What is open without it and what needs it is described on the [What is available without Pro](https://support.watbot.org/billing/without-pro) page.

## The Pro subscription

- **One subscription for the whole account.** The number of bots is not limited.
- **The price depends on the number of contacts** in all your bots together. A contact is a person who has written to any of the bots.
- **More contacts than the package allows** — the subscription moves to the next package by itself, and only the difference for the remaining days is charged from the balance. If auto-upgrade is off or the balance is too low, new people cannot start a dialogue with the bot; the bot keeps working with those who are already there.
- **Fewer contacts** — choose a smaller package. It takes effect from the next renewal.

## How payment works

All services are paid from the account balance. You top up the balance yourself in the "Billing" section; there are no automatic charges from your card.

Subscriptions and services are renewed from the balance. If there is no money on it, the service is paused. Auto-renewal of any service can be turned off — the service then runs until the end of the paid period.

## What is paid separately

These services are not part of Pro and are optional. Each one is added when the project needs it:

- **"AI Credits"** — the AI chat, the AI agent in a bot and building a bot with AI spend tokens of the chosen model. There is no subscription fee.
- **Knowledge base** — documents the AI answers from. Paid monthly.
- **Online school** — a school has its own plan, based on the number of students and the storage for materials.
- **"Team seats"** — one seat per team member across all your projects. Only occupied seats are paid for.
- **No platform label** — a Pro option that removes the platform's label from mini landing pages and widgets. It is renewed together with Pro.
