# Statistics

Statistics answer three questions: how many people come to the bot, where they come from and where in the scenario they stop.

You can view them in two places:

| Where | What it shows |
|---|---|
| The "Statistics" section in the bot's menu | Charts for the bot as a whole: link clicks, new visitors, requests, devices, and visits by each link. Details are on the [Reports of the "Statistics" section](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/analytics/reports) page |
| The scenario scheme | Numbers right on the blocks: how many times a block was sent, how many people pressed each button. Details are on the [Conversions on the scheme](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/analytics/conversions) page |

## What you need

- **A Pro subscription.** The "Statistics" section opens only with a subscription. See the [What is available without Pro](https://support.watbot.org/billing/without-pro) page for details.
- **Permissions.** The bot's owner can see everything. A team member needs the "View analytics" permission for the "Statistics" section and "View conversions" for the numbers on the scheme. Permissions are set up in the [bot settings](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/settings).

## Tabs of the section

The tab menu is on the right:

- "Activity" — three charts: "Requests", "New visitors", "Clicks". It opens first.
- "Devices" — the devices, browsers and systems people open links to the bot from.
- "Telegram links", "Viber links", "VK links", "MAX links" — clicks and visits by the [additional links](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/links/additional) of each messenger. The menu has only the messengers that are enabled on the platform.

## Period

The period selector is above the charts. When a tab opens, it shows today.

- Preset periods: "Today", "Yesterday", "Week", "Month", "Quarter", "Year", "All time". "Week", "Month", "Quarter" and "Year" are counted back from the current moment: "Week" is the last seven days, not a calendar week.
- Your own period is set in the date field on the right. The last day of the period is counted in full, until the end of the day. For the "All time" period the date field is hidden.

![Period, step and "Unique values" above the charts; the section tabs on the right](https://support.watbot.org/_media/en/01-chatbots/10-analytics/_images/period.webp?v=1791781230)

On the "Activity" tab and on a link's chart there is also "Granularity" — the step the chart is built with. The available steps depend on the length of the period:

| Step | When it is available |
|---|---|
| "By minutes", "By 10 minutes" | The period is no longer than a day |
| "By hours" | The period is no longer than a month |
| "By days" | The period is longer than a day |
| "By weeks" | The period is longer than two weeks |
| "By months" | The period is longer than a month |

If the step does not suit the new period, the platform replaces it with the nearest suitable one.

## Unique values

The "Unique values" checkbox changes the way of counting:

- **on** — the same person is counted once per chart interval, no matter how many times they clicked;
- **off** — every event is counted.

For clicks, "one person" is one browser: the platform recognises it by a cookie. For new visitors, requests and visits it is one contact of the bot.

## What statistics do not include

- **Bot checks.** The contact from the "Bot test" window does not get into "New visitors" or the numbers on the scheme.
- **Those who found the bot themselves.** "Clicks" and "Devices" count only visits by the platform's links — the general one and the additional ones. A person who found the bot through the messenger's search adds no clicks but does get into "New visitors".
- **Clicks from the website chat.** The web chat has no links, so its visitors are absent from "Clicks" and "Devices". They do get into "New visitors" and "Requests".
- **Mailings.** How many messages of a mailing were delivered is shown on the mailing's own page — see [Launch and results](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/mailings/results).
- **Deals and orders.** Working with requests after they are received is in the [CRM](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/crm) section.
