# Debit a contact's account

Takes an amount off the contact's internal account and splits the scenario into two branches: there was enough money or there was not.

## Settings

- **"Amount"** — how much to take off: a number greater than zero or a [template](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/templates).
- **"Currency code (ISO 4217)"** — the currency of the account to debit, for example `RUB`.

## Outputs

- "Insufficient funds" — the debit failed: the contact has no account in this currency, the account is blocked or it holds less than needed. Nothing is taken off the account.
- "Continue" — the amount has been debited.

## Good to know

- If the "Insufficient funds" output is not connected to anything, the scenario stops there. Connect it to a block that explains to the person what to do next.
- If the amount is zero or less, the block debits nothing and follows the "Continue" output.

For example, a person exchanges points for a gift: the block debits the points, on the "Continue" output the bot hands out the gift, and on the "Insufficient funds" output it explains how to earn more.
