# Update rows in Google Sheets

Finds rows by filters and writes new values into their cells. It can add a row if nothing is found.

## Settings

"Link to table", "Sheet" and "Range of rows to process" — as in the [common settings](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/blocks/lists#common-settings-of-google-sheets-blocks).

- **"Filters for update"** — which rows to change. Without filters, all rows in the range are updated.
- **"Insert a new row if not found"** — if no row matches the filters, the bot adds a new one to the end of the spreadsheet.
- **"Columns to update"** — a column letter and the value to write into it. A required setting: without it the bot sends "Columns for updating are not installed".
- **"Columns to insert"** — the columns and values of the new row. Appears when inserting is on.

## Outputs

- "Continue" — the block has finished: rows were updated, a new one was inserted, or no matching rows were found.
