# Timer

Sends the contact further along the scenario and at the same time schedules a delayed sending of another block. Handy when the conversation should take its course, and after a while you need to remind the person about yourself.

## Settings

When the timer block is sent is described in the ["When to send"](https://support.watbot.org/chatbots/blocks/time#when-to-send) section.

## Outputs

- "Continue" — at once, as soon as the contact gets into the block.
- "By timer" — when the time has come.

If the "By timer" output is not connected to anything, no wait is scheduled: the contact simply follows "Continue".
