# Cancel appointment

Cancels the client's appointment. It usually goes on the "Cancel button" of the "Appointment card" element — the app asks the client again before cancelling.

## Settings

- **"Appointment"** — usually `{{ appointmentId }}`. The appointment is searched among this client’s appointments in all branches.
- **"Refusal reason into a variable"**.

## Exits

- **"Canceled"** — the appointment is canceled.
- **"Cancellation failed"** — the appointment was not found or the cancellation deadline has passed.

## Specifics

A client can cancel an appointment no later than the deadline from the [branch rule](https://support.watbot.org/booking/rules) "Cancellation deadline, hours". After that, the refusal reason is "An appointment can be canceled or moved no later than … h before the visit" — with the branch phone, if it is set.
