Where templates work
Contact data, variables, global variables and expressions work everywhere in the tables below. Only functions differ: some places allow just simple functions — the ones that don't touch referrals, lists or balances and don't send messages.
All functions
| Block | Fields |
|---|---|
| Message chain | Text, captions for images, videos and files, the message shown for an invalid answer |
| Condition, Switch | The value the variable is compared with |
| HTTP request | Request URL and headers |
| Variable operation | Value |
| Timer, Delay | Date and time |
| Read list entry, Appointment booking, Email request | Message texts |
Simple functions only
| Block | Fields |
|---|---|
| Buttons of any block | Button text, link, command |
| HTTP request | Request body and form fields |
| Outgoing Webhook | URL |
| Google Sheets blocks | Values and columns |
| Payment blocks | Name, description, payment text and link |
| Variable operation | Variable name and values of individual operations |
| AI Agent | Prompt |
Simple functions: all functions from the Text, Math, Date and time and Conditions sections, plus var, global, printContactTags, printContactVariables and printGlobalVariables.
If you put a non-simple function in such a field — for example, getInviteLink() in a button text — that spot will be empty.
Variable values are not processed
Templates work only in the text you wrote in the block. The values of variables, global variables and contact data are always inserted as plain text — even if they contain {{ ... }}.
This protects the bot from tampering: a contact can't type {{ ... }} in an answer and make the bot run a function or reveal your global variables.
