Managing bots
This section covers everything that is done with a bot as a whole rather than with its scenario: how to create a bot, build it from a template, make a copy, move it to another project, hand it over to another account or delete it.
Bots live in projects. The project's list of bots opens in the "Chatbots" section of the side menu. The template catalogue is in the "Templates" item of the same menu, in the "Account" group.
What you need
- A subscription. You can create bots, copy them and install templates without a subscription. Pro is needed to publish your own template, to transfer or accept a bot and to export its data. What else depends on the subscription is on the What is available without Pro page.
- Permissions. The project owner can do everything. A team member sees only the actions their role allows. Only the owner can move a bot to another project and transfer it to another account.
Pages of this section
- The list of bots and creating a bot — the list view, the order, the bot's menu, the bot switcher, the creation form, limits on the number of bots.
- Templates — the catalogue of ready-made scenarios, installing a template, your own templates and publishing them.
- Copying, moving and deleting — what goes into a copy, what happens to lists when a bot is moved to another project, what is disconnected on deletion.
- Transfer to another account — how to hand a bot over to another owner together with its contacts and how to accept it.
- Data export — an archive with the bot's conversations, contacts and requests.
The Quick start helps you build your first bot step by step. How the scheme and scenarios are arranged is in the Scenario builder section, and the settings of the bot itself are in the Bot settings section.
